A Cut Above: Dress to Impress in Any Interview

Man in suit, what to wear for a job interview, job interview clothes man, man in navy suit, gentleman in navy suit, going for an interview

The pressure is on. You’ve found your dream job and landed yourself an interview. Your new task? Impress the interviewer and prove you are worthy of the role. Easy? Not so much.

Interviews are intimidating. You’re sat in front of people whose sole purpose is to judge you and your abilities. Unplanned questions, spontaneous testing, unfamiliar faces, indistinguishable rooms — the whole process is unpredictable. Preparation may be the key to excelling in an interview, but with so many uncertainties, it can feel like you’re entering a minefield.

Thankfully, there is one thing you have complete control over: your look. ‘Dress to impress’ or ‘dress for success’ may seem like tired cliches, but like all good cliches, they are grounded in fact.

Dress for success: the facts behind the cliche

First impressions are important. An average interview may last around 30-45 minutes, but your interviewer will have already made their initial judgements about you within the first seven seconds. It may sound unlikely or unfair, but it’s the way the human brain functions. We’re a visual species. Have you ever come across a dark alley and immediately made a detour? Or decided against buying that Gucci watch from a market stall? We all use visual appearance to make snap judgements.

Your interviewer is no different. They will base their first judgements on your immediate appearance. A dirty, ill-fitting suit suggests that you’re lazy and disorganised, whilst a sharp, tailored suit suggests that you’re smart, well put-together, successful — regardless of if this is true or not.

Remember: you only have one chance to make a first impression. The rest of your interview will be an opportunity for an interviewer to test their judgements. It’s far easier to reaffirm positive assumptions than to try and disprove negative ones. Don’t believe it? In a survey by Adecco, they found that 75% of hiring managers identified bad fashion choices as the top mistake made in interviews.

Fake it ‘til you make it: the lab coat effect

Would you feel more comforted by a doctor wearing a lab coat than a hoodie? Or feel more safe with a policeman in full gear instead of jeans and a t-shirt? You’re not alone. Studies conducted in the 20th century found that certain clothes inspire trust and faith in a person’s ability. Clearly, fashion informs our perceptions of intelligence, capability and reliability. But, did you know that your fashion choices can have the same positive effect on you?

A study at Northwestern University found that when people wore a lab coat, they performed better in science tests, and when donning an artist’s smock, became more creative. The conclusion? Our clothes change our perceptions of ourselves. If you dress like a boss, you’ll trick yourself into feeling like a boss. Asserting confidence and assurance is essential in an interview. So, try faking it ‘til you make it!

Interview clothes basics: 6 fail-safe fashion tips

Every interview is different. We no longer live in a time when a black suit is the only appropriate outfit to wear for an interview. Tech companies and start-ups have changed business fashion. So, it’s important to take the time to do the research and find out what the company’s dress code is.

Still, there are a few fail-safe tips that you can apply to any interview. Follow these six steps to give yourself the best chance of nailing your interview and getting your dream job:

  • A tailored suit is the only way: A poor-fitting suit is never a good look. If you’re buying your suit from a one-size-fits-all high street shop, chances are it doesn’t fit properly. You don’t have to go to a tailor or spend a fortune; there are cost-effective online tailors to check out. Invest in a suit that really fits and you’ll always look your best.
  • Breathable fabric: No-one blames you for getting flustered in an interview, but no-one wants to see sweat stains. Invest in a good shirt made from a breathable material like wool or cotton to keep those sweat patches at bay.
  • Colour code: Bright, garish colours belong on the beach, not at an interview. Keep it simple with neutral colours: white shirts, tanned shoes, understated trousers and jacket. Remember, you’re the main show, not that statement shirt.
  • Get grooming: No matter how dapper your suit or how polished your shoes, dirty nails and scruffy facial hair will leave a bad taste in the interviewers mouth. Before an interview, go for a haircut at a trusted barber, clean shave or tidy up your facial hair, cut and buffer your nails. It’s the small things that count.
  • Make it your own: Accessorise your outfits. You need to stand out from the crowd in an interview. Simple accessorising is the easiest way to do this. A smart tie, customised cufflinks or a leather watch will add a unique flourish to your look.

Stay calm and collected. Follow these steps and remember the rule: ‘dress for success’.

Looking fresh this summer 2018

The men’s style world is, thankfully, a tad less fickle than the merry-go-round realm of women’s fashion. The concept of “trends” doesn’t really resonate with most men, which is why we tend to buy items less often. That being said, for this summer there are subtle tweaks the style-literate fellow-about-town can make, should he want to add a dash of modernity alongside the standard pieces of his wardrobe, and dare I say it…compete with the fashion forward females of Derby.

Whilst the task of heading into town at the weekend may seem daunting, intu Derby makes it that little bit simpler. All the top brands are under one roof, as well as parking, restaurants and the flicks (so you can treat your girlfriend after a strenuous day of shopping for her!)

Now I love an exceptionally cut navy-blue suit as much as the next man, but it pays to update your baseline style formula, and branch out a little and it always pays to know what you’re buying from the high street is cost-worthy, and can withstand 2018.

Here are our top headline trends that you should consider this season, all bought from the fantastic intu Derby:

The Eighties (once again acceptable)

Eighties adidas shorts, bright coloured shorts, man wearing shorts, swim shorts, 80s style, intu Derby, intu Derby shopping centre, intu

From bright colours, clashing patterns to boxy suit jackets and light wash jeans with frayed hems (or gulp! Even a crease ironed in). Take your favourite elements of the Eighties trend and blend them with your existing wardrobe to create a look that feels fresh.

Footlocker in intu Derby has some of the most wearable 80’s inspired items, ready to don at any upcoming festival or holiday. Pair it with a pair of Nike trainers and a short sleeve denim shirt, you’ll be rest to bust some shapes from Ibiza to Creamfields.

Find these shorts at Footlocker for £39.99 at intu Derby here.

After the 90s comes the 00s

Man in blue shirt, All Saints shirt, Men's style, Black jeans, guy in white trainers, nike trainers style, intu Derby, intu Derby shopping centre, intu

There’s early signs of baggy cargo trousers, matching double denim, long belts that grazed the thigh and sweater-vests…expect this trend to only get bigger as the season progresses. If you’re not as brave as us on the whole Britney and Justin Timberlake double denim approach, we headed to All Saints to grab a classic cut shirt to layer up this summer. The beauty of this shirt, is that if you’re into the details, it has an alternative 3/4 length sleeve.

Layers are key, so it’s easy to start with a white t-shirt under everything (and maybe double layered tees!)

Find All Saints shirt for £69.99 at intu Derby here.

Pink and pastels aren’t going anywhere

Men's sportswear, menswear, adidas jumper, adidas, men's style, man stood in alley, intu Derby, intu Derby shopping centre, intu

“Millennial pink”, that warm, blush rose colour you can’t help avoiding on your guys right now, is set to grow up next season – and is expanding into other hues. When we popped into Infinities, the set up had us blushing, at all the options to keep us on trend!

For those loungey and more casual days, grab an Adidas sweater jumper for 329.99, and stretchy jeans and head to the corner shop…

Find Infinities very impressive range of affordable athleisure at intu Derby here.

Two pocket realness

Man in blue shirt, Denim jacket, Guy stood in the garden Men's style, Black shorts, intu Derby, intu Derby shopping centre, intu

Safari jackets, field jackets and Seventies-style military shirts are back. The key detail? Double breast pockets on items with a slouchier shape, to keep things feeling modern.

New Look Men in the upper mall at intu Derby has this trend on point. We couldn’t resist the double-breasted denim jacket for £29.99, with double press-stud fastening to keep us on trend through until winter 2018.

We paired it with some black chino shorts, pink striped tee, and wicker shoes for something more smasual.

Find New Look at intu Derby here.

Floral Shirts

Floral printed shirts are not a novelty, in fact if you wear them with the right thing and at the the right time, they will set you apart from the rest of the guys. However, don’t get these confused with a Hawaiian shirt, which utilise larger summery graphics which are repeated, and don’t usually use small graphics. There’s plenty of variations in the shirt patterns that you can go for, so it’s worth having a good look around to find one you really like the look of.

There’s a couple of different ways to style the floral printed shirt. What you wear with it will determine how good the shirt looks, and whether you stand out for the right or wrong reasons, but always wear one with confidence!

Wicker Shoes

Men's summer shoes, summer shoes, wicker shoe, slip on shoes, sunglasses, menswear, men's sunglasses, intu Derby, intu Derby shopping centre, intu

Looking to separate yourself from the crowd, or like your shoes to have a bit of character? Latticework-inspired motifs can breathe life into even the most tired of slip-on silhouettes.

While the skater-style slip-on trainer is trending for summer 2018 (particularly minimal leather versions), a woven upper lends more of an eye-catching, dynamic finish to your footwear.

Some might argue that designs in tan and brown run the risk of looking a little like a naff wicker basket, but we say it’s a risk worth taking. The right woven style, whether in the form of a loafer , will lend your summertime tailoring looks a classic sixties feel – think Jude Law in The Talented Mr. Ripley and available from New Look Men at intu Derby for a very reasonable £7.99.

Complete your look

This season, feeling good stems from looking good. Treat your skin after a shower with Kiehls Facial Fuel. This vitamin enriched, energising, non-oily moisturiser wakens and uplifts dull fatigued skin.

For a scent that holds, the L’Occitane eau de toilette will absorb perfectly into your clothes, not damaging them, and keeps you fresh all evening.

Click & Collect

Whether searching for a fabulous shirt or a gift for that special someone, find it online at intu.co.uk. Browse from the comfort of your own home and pick up your order in centre free of charge – simply amend the delivery address at the checkout to intu Derby.

Located in the heart of Derby with great transport links, finding intu Derby is easy. Come by car and you’ll have no trouble parking with parking for 3,600 cars as well as disabled and family spaces available. If you’re coming by bus, the bus station is adjacent to the centre. Slip Inside A Pair Of BOX Briefs

Man in white briefs, man in underwear, underwear, briefs, man in white pants, hot guy in pants

We know that wearing briefs keeps everything tucked away and gives full support, unlike a pair of boxers which make you feel a little freer. That’s why at BOX they stock a simple yet supportive style of briefs, fit for everyman’s wardrobe.

Briefs are an underwear classic, they’re high up the leg with a classic look that epitomize underwear, they’re best used when wearing slightly tighter fitting clothing and help to keep everything in place and secure. A standard go-to style for underwear, they cover your entire backside and package, leaving your upper thighs and leg exposed, making them comfortable with almost anything.  Whether its for everyday dressing or physical activities such as sports, briefs help to keep everything in check, whilst still remaining comfortable.

BOX briefs follow the same formula. Created using the softest Cotton and combined with a elasticated waist, branded with the distinctive BOX logo, these sleek, supportive and frankly quite sexy briefs belong in your wardrobe. Experience comfort and style, moulded into the perfect brief with BOX Briefs, available in both white and black for simple yet effective style.

Anybody can be a BOX boy and with the varied sizes ranging from Small to X-Large there’s something for every package. So why not slip yourself into a pair, feel comfortable and send them a selfie of you in your BOX!

BOX are a hot topic many celebs as we speak!

Top Tips To Look After Your BOX Briefs:

When Washing, use a cool wash to ensure the material does not shrink and the material stays soft and comfortable.

Stop the wear and tear of your briefs by turning them inside out when washing and drying. This reduces pilling which contributes to dulling of the fabric and when drying, stops the sun zapping colour right out of the material.

Washing too often can cause wear and tear, and do not mix colours with whites. This will help to keep the full colour in the material.

Take a look at some of the BOX boys showing off their briefs below.

The Gentleman’s Guide To Wedding Attire

The Gentleman's Guide To Wedding Attire, two men wearing suits at a wedding, a man in a blue suit, a man in a grey suit, black tie, 2 men in front a green leaves

When we think about summer weekends, some of us picture the perfect cookout with friends, relaxing on a vacation we’ve needed, or heading out to watch our favourite team at a baseball game.  Others enter the summer season with weekends packed with weddings of friends and family to attend. Between finding the perfect gift, sending the right card, and making sure you have an appropriate date, you can forget the most important detail of attending a wedding: your outfit. From the season and weather, to the location of the venue, there are many factors to take in consideration when planning your wedding guest attire. If you’re attending a wedding this summer, or any season, here are a few tips to get ahead and make sure that you won’t only look great, but also feel great.

Season and Weather

The first place to start when planning out your wedding guest attire is considering what season would best suit your wedding.  Always take into consideration that you want to look sharp, but still be comfortable. In case you’re wondering, you can definitely still be stylish no matter how hot it is outside!  For weddings held within spring and summer, think of wearing fabrics that are lighter and more breathable. Cotton and light wool are just a few of the warm weather comfortable materials for button down shirts! During the warmer seasons, you should think about how your attire will look if you need to take your suit jacket off. Although shorts are typically never an acceptable wedding attire option, consider a nice pair of pants made from chambray, which is an extremely breathable cotton material.

If you’re attending a wedding in the fall or winter, wearing fabrics that are heavier and warmer will help you stay most comfortable. Don’t be afraid to layer your outfit with a wool peacoat or patterned scarf for a winter wedding, or throw a lighter jacket on for a wedding in the fall. You want to make sure you are prepared for the colder weather, but not look like you’re about to hit the mountains on a skiing trip!

Venue

Tying into the factor of weather, think about the venue. It might  be an outdoor wedding on the beach, in the countryside, or maybe the wedding is being held within a church or an old castle. No matter where the wedding is, this is the time to take in consideration comfortability. If the wedding is being held outside, think about lighter colors and a look that is more summertime chic. Khakis or linen pants are perfect for outdoor weddings because they still look professional and appropriate, but aren’t as heavy and warm as a pair of suit pants.

For weddings that are held inside, think about more than just the actual wedding ceremony.  For an outfit that is functional throughout the whole night, whether you’re tearing it up on the dancefloor or mingling with the bridal party, consider a button down shirt that is breathable and a pair of suspenders that will look timeless. If you are planning on dancing the night away, perhaps invest in a pair of pants that are prepared for any movement you might make well dancing.

Requested Attire

Finally and most importantly, let’s consider the theme of the wedding.  This is the most important and crucial detail of wedding attire planning. By looking at the invitation, it should be apparent if the wedding has a more casual or black-tie theme. For weddings that are casual, think about wearing something more simple, like dress pants with a tucked-in button-down. If you’re planning on attending a wedding that is black-tie or black-tie optional, this is the time to break out that perfect fitting suit or tuxedo.

For some guys, this could be your first time on the quest for the perfect tailored suit. There is no need to worry! Visit your local suit or tuxedo rental shop and find the look that is perfect for you. If you’re more cautious when it comes to finding the right tuxedo or suit, don’t stress. The folks at The Black Tux have cracked the secret to the perfectly tailored suit and changed the rental industry forever. Their simple (and easy!)  at-home try-on service allows you to try on the tuxedo or suit rental that fits the theme of the wedding you’re attending. If it does not fit right, simply send back your rental with any adjustments you might need, and they guarantee it will be sent back to you before your event.

When in doubt, use your best judgement. If you’re planning on bringing a date, think about asking them what they want to wear, or suggest coordinating outfits! Keep your accessories simple and make sure that you look the part. A leather banded watch, dress shoes and patterned tie are just a few suggestions to give your look a touch of signature detail. When all else fails, don’t be afraid to reach out to the soon-to-be married couple for their suggestions on wedding guest attire.

When you look good, you feel good. Enter this wedding season with the confidence that your outfit can own any occasion you’re attending. Don’t be afraid to try out a look that is new or perhaps a little bolder than you normally would.

The Quest for the Perfect Tailored Suit No Longer Needs to Ruin You

Suit, Man being measured for a suit, tailoring, tailored suit, tape measure, suits and tuxedo, smart and suits, tie, blazer

Finding the perfect three-piece suit can be a headache for many men. Will you be able to find the right match straight off of a hanger and at an affordable price at any menswear shop? Or will you have to break the bank and pay a (somewhat intimidating) visit to a tailor in order for the suit of your dreams to fit like a glove? And when comes the time to know what fits and what doesn’t, what should you be on the lookout for?

We know finding the perfect timeless suit that’ll last you years is no small feat, but here’s the good news: you don’t have to break the bank anymore for a perfectly tailored suit. Simply follow these steps from our expert, who has provided countless gentlemen with that go-to suit for all occasions.

Picking a Tailored Suit Wisely Starts with Good Fit

Every discerning gentleman deserves a suit that fits him well, and rushing to the nearest menswear shop to buy the first suit in sight is clearly not the best course of action here.

A timeless three-piece suit need not follow the latest trends. Minimalism is the key to a classic, timeless suit. A snug fit that embraces and flatters all of your manly shapes is key to looking effortlessly dashing. Since all men are different and so many factors are coming into play here from height, to chest and torso lengths, to shoulder broadness going the tailor-made route has clear benefits. “People will notice a man of style and substance with great attention to detail in the perfect suit”, says Anthony Horner, owner of Empire Outlet, a company that provides luxury tailored suits at affordable prices for the modern day gentleman.

The perfect cut will fit every body type. It will elongate the shorter man, fit the tallest amongst us to perfection, slim down and hide any unwanted bulges for the self-conscious. A good tailor will know what is best for you — and if you trust them, the results will surprise you.

Suit, Man being measured for a suit, tailoring, tailored suit, tape measure, suits and tuxedo, smart and suits, tie, blazer

The Colour: A Matter of Choice, but Don’t Get Too Crazy

You may think of black as the go-to colour for your first suit, but it might be too formal or severe to fit any occasion. Instead, colours like navy blue, grey, and beige, as well as light checker patterns or pinstripes, are fantastic options. These timeless options allow a three-piece suit or any tailored suit to fit any occasion. Tweed has always been a material to consider over the years, but has recently seen a further surge in popularity. Today, it’s a modern essential in every gentleman’s wardrobe and a fantastic option to keep in mind.

The lining of your suit and colour of your tie is where you can get a little more creative. Don’t hesitate to use your tie as a fashion statement, which can give your neutral suit a more current or classic twist, depending on the occasion. As far as colours go, you could pick something that matches your eye colour, or even your partner’s outfit colour. Be creative; ties are a cheap way to jazz up an otherwise classic outfit!

Quality Fabric Makes All the Difference

To look dapper and comfortable, seek out a three-piece suit that’s 100% wool — a durable and breathable fabric. Suits made out of a blend of wool and 2%-5% of elastane for added comfort and ease of movement are also a great option. Beware, however, that some luxury fabrics, such as silk, will make the suit a lot more expensive and a lot less durable. Sticking to wool really is your best bet.

A suit made of exceptional fabric quality and craftsmanship will look straight and even when hanging, with perfectly symmetrical legs and sleeves. The seams should all look even and regular, with no bulging or ripples. Always put your suit to the hanging test!

Finding the suit of your dreams is easy if you follow these simple rules, especially as online tailored suit purchasing has come such a long way in latest years. You can now order fabric samples before committing to having the suit of your dreams made. And you may be surprised to know that such a beautiful, timeless, bespoke item doesn’t need to set you back any more than £200 to £300 from the best companies.

Make sure you take care of your perfectly tailored suit! In order for your it to remain beautiful and fresh for years to come, always make sure to hang it on a padded hanger. To keep it clean, treat it like a coat. Have it aired as often as possible, and dry cleaned only as needed.

Festival Must-Haves 2017

Festival menswear for the style for summer
What are you up for this summer? Staying home? Jetting off to warmer climes? Or joining the festivals? It’s not over yet!

Ban the boohoo’s this summer by being wardrobe ready for every festival you’re off to.

We’re just ahead of Creamfields, V-festival, Bestival and many more, so now it’s vital to get your summer wardrobe in check.

With our pals at boohooMAN we’ve pulled together some of the key essentials and things to think about this festival season, to make sure you’re looking as hot as the music pumping from the speakers and sun burning down on you…

T-Shirt & Tanks

boohooMAN men's festival style
If you can pull off basic wear in the classic way, you can pull it off in any way. A plain tee or tank MUST be part of your festival wardrobe.

Especially a white tee – it’s timeless, it’s cool, it’s causal and totally effortless.

Shop now…

Print & Pattern

Besides the clean basics, you NEED to incorporate print and/or patterns into your festival wardrobe.

This season band-tees are top of the bill. SO be the headline act in your group of mates.

If you never wear colours, print or patterns for your everyday outfit, THIS is the time to be playful and try out some new things in clothing! As far as festival fashion is concerned, everything goes (since you’ll find all types of people at a festival).

Shop now…

Denim Is Hot

Don’t hesitate about investing in great denim items. It’s a cool all-season essential that can be worn season after season.

If you’re unsure about what kind of wash you should go for, the mid/light-toned blue is IT. Light wash denim is totally stylish and summery, and you will find lots of inspiration for it in the recent street styles.

Black denim is also a great choice that works very well with white and other basic colours.

Jeans (Light, Loose & Raw)

Add denim jeans to the top of your “what to wear” list.

There has been a movement away from the mid-wash towards lighter washes and if you really wanna prove your style game, it’s time to switch out the skinny styles and look for something roomier.

If you’re looking for something different and attention-grapping, go for overalls or ripped, raw denim. Up its low-key vibe with a clean tee, sneakers or boots.

Shop now…

Shorts

Long story short – as summer heats up – bring back your shorts. Knee-length denim options are a good way to go. Chino shorts are also ideal and can be both dressed up and down.

Still, keep in mind that festivals are a great opportunity to be a bit more playful with your fashion choices. Search for different colours or shorts with prints.

Shop now…

Hoodies and Sweatshirts

boohooMAN festival wear for men
As the sun sets, you will likely need to layer up. A cotton sweatshirt is a must-have and a comfortable piece that can be tied around your waist or shoulders during the day and thrown on when required.

Opt for basics in different colours and perhaps something with print.

Keep your festival look easy and relaxed by wearing a hoodie.

Go for either a zip hoodie or a pullover, depending on what look you want. After you’ve made your choice, it’s just as easy as pulling on some cool jeans and a pair of lace-up boots or sneakers.

Shop now…

Comfy Shoes

Festival or not. Shoes are necessary.

The new cult, classic, minimalistic white sneakers are totally IN and simply a must-have. Still, keep in mind that festivals can get quite messy so if it’s a pair you love, buy another in case they get super dirty.

Boots, on the other hand, are also totally EPIC for festivals and slightly more bohemian inspired.

However, ensure that you have a stylish pair of shoes (or more) and that they are comfortable and will complement most of your festival outfits.

If it rains…

At festivals in Europe, you can’t always trust the weather, so be prepared.

Luckily, dressing for showers can be stylish: Bring a cool pair of wellies, a rain jacket and an umbrella if necessary.

Why you need a shirt subscription & how to start

Shirts header one

You can get subscriptions for just about everything these days. Razors, pet toys, beauty products, wine accessories, bow ties, snacks, and more. So with so many options, why would someone look at Christian Benedict, a men’s shirt subscription service as something they want, or need? Well, the benefits of getting some simple, stylish, fresh clean shirts posted through your door are vast, and hopefully we can convince you to take the plunge into a world that’s more convenient, more reliable, more stylish, and where you’ll have more money in your pocket to spend on other cool stuff.

#1 MEN NEED NEW SHIRTS MORE THAN THEY’D LIKE TO ADMIT

Face it guys, you probably need new shirts more than you think. Whether you wear your shirt on their own, layered with a blazer or sweater, or even as an undershirt — they simply don’t last forever. Your shirts eventually get pit stains, or maybe food on ’em, or in some cases they simply lose their shape over time. And guys simply don’t know how to say goodbye, well that and we’re also a tad lazy, which leads to wearing shirts we shouldn’t any more. By getting a shipment of shirts every 30, 60 or 90 days you eliminate awkward shirt moments forever. Crisp, new shirts will leave you walking out the door with confidence. Confidence breeds success, and face it — the ladies love confident successful men.

So first things first, head over to Christian Benedict.

When you arrive you’ll see a clean cut website that’s easy to use, with prompts to take you through the process of your signing up to your spanking new subscription service. Once you’ve decided how often you’d like to receive a new shirt under the “ ” tab, you’ll then get to pick your first shirt!

There you will find…

Three shirts are available that are 100% cotton; Light Blue Button Cuff Shirt, White Button Cuff Shirt, Pink Button Cuff Shirt. (it’s not too confusing or tricky).

Once you’ve chosen your first one, you don’t have to stick to it for the duration of your subscription! Around two weeks before you’re due another shirt, Christian Benedict will send an e-mail showing you the entire range. Within that e-mail you’ll be able to pick another shirt by clicking on the appropriate image.

Smashing.

#2 A SHIRT THAT FITS RIGHT IS HARD TO FIND CONSISTENTLY

Finding a shirt that fits great is just not easy. For instance, you may find some nice regular fit shirts one month at Topman, or H&M that you think have saved your world. You love them. You wear ’em to work, or out with your girlfriend on a Friday night. One day you start to realize that the sleeves are shorter, it’s a little tighter (and you haven’t even eaten bad this month), and for all intents and purposes it’s a completely different shirt. It is basically an alien shirt. So, here is the beauty of custom fit. At Christian Benedict it’s easy.

In this step of the subscription process, take your measurements and know what you need – it’ll take the hassle out of everything.

Using the drop down menus to enter your measurements is fairly simple – it also acts as a guide to know if you’re along the right lines if it’s your first time measuring. You can change the measurements anytime once your signed in and if you’re not happy, let Christian Benedict know, they want to get this right for you. (There’s a friendly no questions asked returns policy – you can return it for free).

Don’t panic if you do not know your measurements, the size guides will help you achieve that perfect fitting shirt and are really easy to follow to discover your measurements. Discovering your fit is the general size of the shirt and will determine how closely the material hugs your torso.

Christian Benedict generous fit is their ‘Regular’, whilst they call their medium ‘Slim Fit’. ‘Extra Slim’ size is their smallest size.

#3 SIMPLE SHIRTS NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE

A simple shirt is easy to dress up or dress down and well worth having in your wardrobe.

After punching in your measurements, you’ll need to hit your details into the system. Your name and surname, whilst providing an email address and a password to set up a profile on the Christian Benedict website. Once you have completed all the stages you will be ready to receive your brand new shirt, there’s no commitment so you can cancel any time and you only pay around the time that you receive each shirt.

The whole process is really simple and visually easy to follow. Put it this way, it saves you having to visit town and get pissed off with all the shoppers walking slowly!

Now that we’ve given you a few of the keys as to why Christian Benedict’s shirt subscription service is so great for guys, we’ll give you the most important reasons to become part of the CB Shirt club.

You know what you’re getting, the size is tailored to you (so the fit will be impeccable), you know when you’re getting your shirt, the service is time saving and fully flexible (i.e. can be cancelled whenever) AND you don’t have to leave the house to know that you’re going to look great at every opportunity.

So there you have it. Sure, you can fire up your monthly subscription to artisan cheese if that’s your thing, or relish in opening up a box filled with carefully curated grill tools or something, but what good will those things be when you’re dressed like a slob in your stained, 3-year old shirt?

A shirt subscription from Christian Benedict is not only a nice to have, for most men it should be a necessity.
